Damian Allegretti

Acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist and Tui Na massage therapist

Chelsea

Diagnosed with asthma as a baby, I relied on inhalers until a persistent cough at 18 led me to Juan Carlos, a charismatic herbalist whose natural remedies transformed my life. His wisdom and methods inspired my professional journey in holistic health.

My academic journey led me to graduate as an Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist from the esteemed ‘Li Ping Institute of Acupuncture and Chinese herbal Medicine’ in Barcelona in 2019, a collaboration with Shanghai and Nanjing universities. I then sought enlightenment from the disciples of the late Dr. Wang Ju Yi from Beijing, namely Jonathan Chang and Jason Robertson, and became an official practitioner of Applied Channel Theory.

My pursuit of knowledge expanded as I earned a diploma in Zheng Gu Tui Na (Chinese massage and bone-setting) under the guidance of the renowned Tom Bisio in 2019, followed by another diploma in Advanced Tuina from Sarah Pritchard in 2023.

A cornerstone of my practice involves personalised diet and lifestyle optimisation, integrating laboratory diagnostics from primary physicians with insights from Chinese Medicine. This approach leverages Holistic Nutrition principles and the latest dietary research to promote optimal health.

My incessant quest for knowledge has seen me devour literature on diets, nutrition and lifestyle for over 15 years. I remain abreast of the latest in clinical dietary studies as a proud member of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM).

Merging contemporary Western scientific insights with the profound wisdom of Eastern traditions, I offer a rich tapestry of treatments that encompass acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, movement, nutritional guidance, and lifestyle support. This not only equips patients with the knowledge to understand and manage their health better but also encourages active participation in their healing journey.

With a dedicated focus on women's health, pregnancy care, and fertility, I bring extensive experience and a compassionate approach to my practice as a Chinese Medicine practitioner. My journey in healthcare has been shaped by a deep commitment to supporting women through every stage of life, from enhancing fertility naturally to providing nurturing care during pregnancy. I blend traditional Chinese Medicine with modern insights to create personalised treatment plans that promote holistic well-being. With sensitivity and empathy, I strive to empower my patients on their path to optimal health and wellness.

Specialising in the holistic care of babies and children, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective treatment as a Chinese Medicine practitioner. With a nurturing approach, I focus on supporting the health and development of young ones through gentle and tailored therapies.

Since 2022, I've been honoured to practice acupuncture for The Disability Foundation (TDF) at Royal National Orthopedic Hospital, providing care for individuals with disabilities, chronic conditions, and NHS staff.

I also contribute to 'The Clinician' journal as part of the editorial committee and I am Clinical Supervisor at the Northern College of Acupuncture.

London is now my home, where I pursue my passion for enhancing lives through holistic health, believing in the transformative power of true balance and well-being.
